Regular Walks

Meet at the Castle car park, Manorhamilton at 10.30 am on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from September to June.

Walks usually take place in counties Leitrim, Sligo and Cavan.  Car pooling is used as parking at start points can be limited.

Anyone suitably equipped and fit enough to maintain a good pace through hills for up to 6 hours is welcome to join any walk.

There are no fees or membership requirements.  It will be assumed that all walkers accept the conditions of the disclaimer below.

Local farmers will not welcome or tolerate dogs nor hill walkers with them, please leave your dogs at home.

Disclaimer:

Hill walking is inherently dangerous and all who take part in regular walks organised by the Holey Soles do so at their own risk.  There are usually several experienced hill walkers on each walk, but on occasions there has been none.  Each walker must take responsibility for his/her own safety and well-being, and for ensuring they are properly equipped with weatherproof clothing, strong footwear, food & drink.  Other than natural safety concerns and normal courtesy towards others, there are no rules or regulations
and no insurance.  Participants need to be fit as walks will be on open hills in all weather conditions, usually over rough terrain, heather, boggy ground and high fences.

If you are not happy with this situation, please seek out some other group.
